Terme di Sirmione is one of the most important thermal spas in Europe. It is a facility that combines various activities that all have one thing in common – the sulphurous water containing sodium chloride, bromine and iodine.
It has two ultra-modern spa centres, Terme Virgilio and Terme Catullo, one modern, functional Thermal Wellness Centre, Aquaria, and three hotels with thermal facilities and Aquaria Club, the 5-star Grand Hotel Terme, the 4-star Hotel Sirmione and the 3-star Hotel Fonte Boiola.
So that people may enjoy the benefits of the spa in their own homes, Terme di Sirmione has two products, on sale in pharmacies, that are 100% composed of spa water, Acqua di Sirmione and Sirmiogel. With a turnover of 25.7 million during 2008, the company registered the following:
- more than 600,000 guests at its spa centres, Aquaria and hotels;
- a staff of more than 450, including professional specialist doctors especially in the field of otolaryngology, bronchopneumology and hydrology;
- almost 1,490 hours of training courses in thermal, hotel, wellness and reception sectors;
- more than 80% of staff live in the local area;
- more than 50% of staff are women.
