Our passion for research has led us to study hydrogen sulphide, the molecule within our Sirmione Water, and to derive its most relevant properties and benefits for personal well-being. For us, real thermalism is about constant care and attention to bringing the body and soul into balance, combining wellness and prevention. This is “The Science of Thermalism”.
There are two natural resources at the Sirmione Spa: thermal water and thermal mud, both of which are effective in maintaining the well-being of the skin and preventing and treating inflammatory skin diseases.
Terme di Sirmione Thermal Water is classified as mineral water, and is bacteriologically pure and hyperthermal, as it gushes out at a temperature of 69°C. Based on its chemical-physical characteristics, the water of Terme di Sirmione is identified as sulphurous salsobromoiodic as it is composed of sulphur, sodium chloride, iodine, bromine and trace elements such as manganese, selenium and zinc, for an effective moisturising action and a powerful soothing activity. By mixing this water with clay, we obtain the Terme di Sirmione Thermal Mud, which helps to treat skin imperfections thanks to its chemical and microbiological composition. In addition, the Cyanobacterium Aponinum abundant in the mud increases the anti-inflammatory potential of the water, rebalancing the skin microbiota.
