Dr. Emanuela Cofano

She graduated in Biological Sciences from the State University of Milan, then obtained Master's Degrees in Biology Applied to Biomedical Research and Nutrition Sciences at the same university, finally qualifying as a Nutritionist Biologist. She completed several internships during her training in Milan: initially at the laboratory of Clinical Chemical and Microbiological Analyses of the Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico Mangiagalli e Regina Elena, then at the Department of Pharmacology, Chemotherapy and Medical Toxicology of the University, and finally, in 2013, at the Department of Predictive Medicine and Prevention, IRCCS National Cancer Institute Foundation. Here, under the tutelage of Dr. Anna Villarini, she acquired specific expertise in the field of nutrition, both with outpatients and with female breast and ovarian cancer patients, with whom she was also able to develop interpersonal and communication skills. She is currently attending the School of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Florence. At Terme di Sirmione - Therapy District, she has been in charge of Nutrition Programmes since 2015, carrying out nutritional assessments and drawing up personalised dietary plans for healthy and sick adults and children, also collaborating with other specialists in the various integrated check-up programmes.
