Dr. Francesco Puccio

"He graduated with honours in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna, and specialised in General Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Emergency Surgery. Formerly Chief of the General Surgery Unit of Manerbio Hospital and Director of the Surgery Unit of Desenzano Hospital, he was involved, in particular, in gastroenteric surgery and vascular surgery, implementing the minimally invasive laparoscopic and endovascular approach.
He was one of the first in Italy to conceive and implement a departmental ‘Short Stay’ Surgery Service, capable of receiving patients requiring limited hospitalisation and reduced intensity of care. Past President of the Italian Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), he is a member of numerous scientific societies, author of 150 publications and five monographs. Since 2017 he has been in charge of the Vascular Medicine and Gastroenterology Services at Terme di Sirmione - Therapy District."
