The prescription may be issued by the paediatrician, GP or NHS-subsidised medical specialist The prescription, which is valid for one year, must be completed in full, without omitting the therapy code, the recommended treatment cycle, the pathology and any patient exemptions from prescription charges – we recommend consulting the downloadable document for more information on all payment exemptions – and cannot be issued in intangible form. Please note that only one course of treatment a year is allowed, except in the case of patients with a payment exemption. The cycle of thermal therapies under agreement with the NHS must be completed within 60 days, although, for improved therapeutic efficacy, we recommended that it be carried out continuously.
